1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using justcrawl.io ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.

2. Service Description

justcrawl.io is a scraping orchestration platform that routes web scraping requests across multiple third-party providers. We provide workflow management, provider benchmarking, analytics, and optimization tools. We do not perform scraping directly; we orchestrate requests to providers you configure with your own credentials.

3. Your Account

  • You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • One person or organization may not maintain more than one free trial account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Use the Service to scrape websites in violation of their terms of service, robots.txt directives, or applicable law.
  • Submit requests designed to overload, disrupt, or damage target websites or our infrastructure.
  • Attempt to circumvent security measures, CAPTCHAs, or access controls on target websites using our platform.
  • Use the Service to collect personal data in violation of GDPR, CCPA, or other privacy regulations.
  • Share your account credentials or API keys with unauthorized parties.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.

5. Provider Credentials

You are responsible for the API keys and credentials you provide for third-party scraping providers. These credentials are encrypted at rest and used solely to execute requests on your behalf. You must ensure your use of provider services complies with their respective terms and any usage limits they impose.

6. API Keys

API keys generated by justcrawl.io are scoped to your organization. You are responsible for safeguarding these keys. We are not liable for unauthorized access resulting from compromised API keys. Revoke keys immediately if you suspect a breach.

7. Billing and Credits

  • Free Trial — new accounts receive a 7-day trial with limited credits. No credit card required.
  • Pay-as-you-go — purchase credits in advance. Credits are non-refundable and do not expire unless your account is terminated.
  • Enterprise — custom pricing and invoicing available. Contact us for details.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing credit balances are not affected by price changes.

8. Intellectual Property

  • Your data — you retain ownership of all data you submit to the Service, including URLs, workflow configurations, and scraped content.
  • Our platform — the justcrawl.io platform, its code, design, and documentation are our intellectual property.
  • Feedback — any suggestions or feedback you provide may be used by us without obligation to you.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
  • We are not liable for the accuracy, reliability, or availability of third-party scraping providers.
  • We are not responsible for the content retrieved through scraping requests you initiate.
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless justcrawl.io, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your scraping activities that violate the rights of third parties or applicable law.

11. Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms, with or without notice.
  • Upon termination, your data will be anonymized in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • Unused credits are forfeited upon account termination.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of San Francisco County, California.
